What made you personally and professionally commit to hydraulics as a core technology?
What fascinates you about it?
I have been working in the hydraulics industry for more than 26 years, beginning my career at Hyva in 2003. Hydraulics have always been a key enabler of innovation and performance in commercial vehicles and equipment. They form the core of movement and functionality in trucks and trailers. What continues to drive my commitment to this technology is its essential role in implementing new solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and operational capability across the industry.
How does Hyva approach R&D and what sets it apart?

Hyva is the global market leader in hydraulics, driven by a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Our R&D approach combines global insight with local execution. We operate regional engineering teams in all key markets – including China, India, South America, EMEA, and the United States – all supported by a centrally managed Center of Excellence established more than 45 years ago.
This structure allows us to stay close to our customers through a “local-to-local” approach, while ensuring consistent standards, processes, and innovation worldwide. Within Hyva, a dedicated Portfolio and Project Management Department (PPMD) oversees product development, focusing on cost, quality, and key performance indicators. Each project is evaluated based on clear ROI and strategic contribution.
