ROCKINGER, which has been part of JOST World for twenty years, will present the latest innovation in form of the Drawbar Finder: Here, a camera sits above the trailer coupling overlaying its image with auxiliary lines for the driver in the sense of augmented reality. The visual guidance in two directions, horizontally and vertically, enables precise coupling which increases efficiency and helps prevent accidents.
Narrow depots, winding city streets and a 16.5 m long tractor trailer that needs to be steered safely – this is where conventional axle systems reach their limits at the latest and the use of a command steer axle is required. The new JOST ZGA can be used with all common steering systems, whether mechanical, hydraulic or electronic, and impresses with outstanding performance features such as the low steering radius. At NUFAM, JOST will be showing the ZGA combined with the TRIDEC EF-S electronic steering system. Up to three JOST ZGA axles can be used. The steering angle can be easily adapted to the available space for installation and the required maneuverability.
There will also be live demonstrations of the new KKS automatic coupling system. Launched in spring 2021, the KKS enables the driver to perform the coupling and uncoupling of the semitrailer automatically, quickly and safely from the cab by remote control. Efficiency, comfort and safety gains are made possible with just one product. KKS thus represents the future of logistics and is an important step towards autonomous driving.
JOST presents its innovations and proven products at NUFAM 2021 in hall 2, stand C 202 and with live demonstrations on 30th September and 1 st October in the Demo Park.
