Two new bucket grabs get it done: Quicke presents the Powergrab L+/XL+

Just in time for New Year 2023, the Swedish agricultural machinery manufacturer Quicke sets the new standard in silage handling with two powerful additions to the Powergrab series.

As a tried-and-tested partner of the agricultural industry, the Quicke brand, owned by Ålö and JOST Agriculture, has seven decades of experience in developing innovative solutions with front loaders and associated implements. Quicke is now expanding its successful Powergrab series with two powerful additions designed to serve the premium performance range.

Ideal for performance-focused users with high feed rates
The newcomers to the range are the Powergrab L+ for loaders with a lift capacity of up to 5.5 tonnes and the Powergrab XL+ for loaders with a lift capacity of up to 10 tonnes. The two implements are designed as powerful bucket grabs for silage handling with large front loaders, telehandlers and wheel loaders. As highly efficient tools for silage removal, the new Powergrab models are ideally suited to farms with high feed rates. Their powerful cylinders can handle all types of silage – grass and corn silage, loose feed and liquids. The first-class workmanship is extremely robust – The wellproven design minimises disruptions to productivity and creates reassuring reliability.

The Powergrab L+ and XL+ would also be an excellent addition to any anaerobic digestion operation. With its large volume capacity and clean operation, it will save time when handling/rehandling whole crop maize, vegetable and other farm waste associated with the anaerobic digestion process.

For wheel loaders with Z-link kinematics and M24 BOH system
Compared to the predecessor Powergrab XL, the two new models offer significant improvements. For example, the grabber design has been optimised and now has four bearings for improved stability. A cut-out has also been added to the grabber to allow it to be used on loaders with Z-link kinematics. This makes the two new Powergrab models particularly attractive to a wide range of customers. Both the Powergrab L+ and XL+ are available with the M24 bolt-on-hook system, which allows them to be used with all popular loader types.

Innovative details for optimal efficiency
Both new Powergrab models hold the silage load securely in place: The side plates and side tines of the bucket are designed to efficiently prevent the load from falling out at the side. The bucket body also features an integrated spill guard at the top to prevent spillage.

Powergrab L+:

  • Efficient bucket grab for silage handling with large front loaders, telehandlers and wheel loaders
  • For loaders with a lift capacity of 3 – 5.5 tonnes
  • Up to 2.1 m3 of silage in a single operation
  • Opening width 200 cm

Powergrab XL+

  • High-capacity bucket grab for silage handling with large telehandlers and wheel loaders
  • For loaders with a lift capacity of 5 – 10 tonnes
  • Up to 3 m3 of silage in a single operation
  • Opening width 214 cm

With the Powergrab L+ and Powergrab XL+, the Swedish agricultural machinery specialist is focusing in particular on farmers with high power requirements who want to work with extra efficiency: “The new Powergrab models support a particularly high silage removal frequency, minimise silage losses and are specially designed for long-term high-performance use,” explains Henrik Jönsson, Product Manager, Implements in Sweden.
