JOST submitted the patent application for the first cast steel fifth wheel coupling over 60 years ago. Since then, JOST’s fifth wheel couplings have been a success story around the world. JOST has enjoyed continuous growth in the container equipment and interchangeable systems sector since 1990. Our portfolio of container equipment products comprises a wide range of support legs, corner castings and accessories for swap bodies.
In January 2015, JOST acquired Mercedes-Benz TrailerAxleSystems, making JOST one of Europe’s important manufacturers of trailer axles.
Since its foundation in the year 1875, ROCKINGER has significantly shaped the technical development of towing hitches. ROCKINGER’s product range for road traffic comprises all products which are installed on tractors. Towing hitches connect a trailer and a tractor using a drawbar. In 1973, ROCKINGER expanded its product range by adding towing hitches for agriculture and forestry to its production programme.
In 2004, JOST took over the long-established company Regensburger Zuggabel, and sells its products under the ROCKINGER brand today.
TRIDEC developed the world’s first manufacturer-independent steering system worldwide and has been part of the JOST Group since 2008. TRIDEC offers custom solutions for every application. Modular systems allow implementation on all types of trailer. The specialists at TRIDEC not only develop mechanically controlled steering systems, but also those controlled by hydraulic and electronic means. The systems can be installed regardless of the axle or vehicle manufacturer.
Alongside steering systems, TRIDEC also manufactures independent axle suspensions for double-deck and glass-transport trailers as well as for hydraulic suspensions and swinging axles.
Ålö has been developing and producing high-quality front loaders and implements under the Quicke brand since 1949. Company founder Karl-Ragnar Åström found a solution for how tasks can be carried out in less time without having to do them yourself. This invention made it possible for smaller farms to easily handle material and to optimize their productivity. With this innovative spirit, Ålö has been developing world-leading front loaders and implements, working towards digitizing and automating several farming practices. Ålö has been part of JOST since 2020.
